Dance For LIFE!
Love, Inspiration, Faith, and Empowerment
It’s what Life is made of. So go on, Get a LIFE.
Welcome to Dance For Life, where we teach the dancer and not just the dance. We all want to have life. We want to be able to give and receive Love freely, to be so Inspired by something that inaction ceases to be an option, to have Faith that with grace we can and will stand up for what we believe in. We want our children to become strong, confident, Empowered individuals, who have voices of their own and who live authentically in this world. Here at Dance For Life we believe in the art form, but we also believe that lifelong inspiration comes from learning how to find inspiration and confidence within yourself when you need it most. We maintain a relaxed atmosphere in our private, sprung floor, dance studio where you and your child can enjoy learning and exploring all of the wonders of dance in a nurturing environment with professional instruction, personal attention, and lots of fun,… and all without the stress and never-ending costs of things like dance competitions and big recitals. Whether you are looking to try dance for the first time or re-condition and train as a dancer, we have a class for you. If you’re looking to strengthen and tone, become more flexible, or even just want to have plenty of fun while you break a sweat to improve your health,….we’ve got you covered. So come on,.. get a LIFE.
Hope to see you soon!
Where are you located? I live in Virginia. Love to dance, haven’t been in a troup since college, many moons ago
Hi Andrietta!
I’m sorry for the delayed response, your post got lost in the spam box because of the website filters.
We were in Michigan but have just recently moved to New Jersey as of summer 2018!
Why not look into starting a troupe yourself? It doesn’t have to be fancy, just find a few friends that also enjoy dancing and and begin together. Once you have a few works (well rehearsed and well choreographed) and under your belt talk people in your community and keep your ear to the ground for opportunities to perform. Teaching young people is a great way to get involved, get kids busy and involved and doors will beging to open if you have trained well. ALSO, STUDY STUDY STUDY! Did I say Study? LOL To get a well choreographed work that has intent, purpose, skill, and direction takes some know how. Like anything we want to become skilled at we must become forever students of that thing. Find teachers and studios in the area and take classes as a troupe (and be sure to ask for a group discount! 😉 Also look up your state’s dance councils and find the one that suits you best and join. They are a wealth of information. Local universities and community colleges Dance/Performing Arts departments are great resources for classes and current happenings around your area! There are also lots of videos on YouTube to inspire you, and books to educate you. Go for it! Virginia awaits! XO and Good luck!
God bless you it was a pleasure to meet you .
Thank you for your story it helped me, you are truly beautiful inside & out.
Your video on your hair journey truly blessed me.
I just watched you cutting off your hair and it’s beautiful and so are you with it! I have been rocking a bald cut for over 15 years and when I tell you a day does not go by that some one stops me to tell me how gorgeous it and I am. Girl do you and rock it!!!
Thank you!

I saw your video tonight and I too suffer from Alopecia. I’m not sure of what kind but hopefully I’ll soon see a dermatologist. My hair started coming out in my early 20’s. Like you I’ve fixed my hair in so many different ways to cover the the space but it got bigger. Bigger to where I assume I have the same amount of hair on my head that you did when you shaved yours. I started going natural for a good few years before I tried wigs. Too hot! I decided to cut it down to a small fro I guess. But lately I just want to shave it all! Seeing my story tonight in you lets me know I’m on the right path. I suffer from depression and have been disabled for some years, but being bald has consumed my life. Thank you for your bravery even when you were scared. Now I know there’s someone out there who knows and feels like I do.
Thank you Tammy,

I pray that your own journey bring you peace and life rejuvenation! I know not everyone believes the same as I do but I’m also praying that God lift your spirit of depression and reveal to you how to keep rid of it as well. It is not always an overnight thing but a sometimes a daily journey thing. All the best darling.
